One in ten people in the United States will suffer from some form of addiction in their lifetime.  For each addict there are at least four other people in their lives who become directly affected.

Asylum promises to provide the audience with an honest and sometimes brutal look at the treatment of addiction. The truth is that the majority of current treatment methods fail and a staggering 92% of addicts who make it through rehab will relapse. These statistics leave the addicts and their families with little hope of ever attaining a "normal" life.  Their lives become caught in the endless cycle of rehab treatment facilities that make promises they can't keep.
